National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting

The NICEIC is "a non-profit making organisation, set up in 1956 to protect consumers against unsafe and unsound electrical installations. It acts as the Electrical installation industry's voluntary Regulatory body for safety matters".

Enrolled contractors are subject to an annual audit by the regional NICEIC Inspector. This can also be viewed as a safety net to reassure our consumers that Flash Lights adhere to standards, quality and compliance.

Flash Lights - Specialise in identifying and correcting matters of safety that require improvement and providing NICEIC Periodic Inspection Reports and other forms of NICEIC Certification as a record of compliance.

In recent years property purchases, property improvements and Local Authority Licensing requirements have in the main, raised awareness of the need for electrical systems, appliances, and associated fittings and accessories to be assessed by a competent person, that they are safe for continued use. This assessment is best conducted by an NICEIC Approved contractor such as Flash Lights who can provide NICEIC Certificates and Periodic Inspection Reports to assess the safety and functionality of an electrical installation.

Flash Lights aim to work together with customers, licensing requirements and relevant Health & Safety Legislation to ensure installations are safe and that these are properly recorded by issuing the appropriate periodic report or certificate.
