PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing)
Much the same as with testing fixed wiring Portable, Moveable, and Transportable Appliances need to be tested to ensure safety and compliance with BS7671 and the Electricity @ Work Regulations 1979.
When conducting Portable Appliance Tests Flash Lights will:
Inspect the Appliance
Carry out mandatory tests using approved PAT testing equipment
Apply 'Pass' or 'Fail' labels and indicate next test due date
Provide a Certificate for each appliance; and
carry out any identified remedial work if agreed
The cost is based on the type and number of appliances to be tested and is based on an attendance fee plus a cost per item.
